During summer, two religious festivals take place in Platanias:


 On the 1st of July, the church of Sts. Anargiri celebrates.

 On the 7th of September, we have the traditional celebration of Panagia Mousgiotissa. The cultural association "Platanias friends" is responsible for the organization of the festival.

Between the 15th and 25th of August, a traditional fishermans night is organized in Platanias in honour of the visitors.

On the 12th December, the church of St. Spyridonas celebrates in the traditional monastery.
